Are you fascinated by the fluid, hypnotic movement of clay on a pottery wheel? If you're ready to take your pottery skills to the next level, the Not Yet Perfect Intermediate Wheel Work Workshop is the perfect opportunity. This workshop is designed for potters with some experience who are eager to refine their techniques and create a set of 3 beautiful bowls. Join us to deepen your understanding and mastery of this captivating art form.
In this three-hour workshop, you'll advance your pottery skills by crafting a set of 3 bowls on the wheel. Dive deeper into the techniques of shaping and molding, perfecting your pieces from the initial design to the final product. This engaging and therapeutic process is ideal for intermediate potters seeking to enhance their craft.
Held at the Not Yet Perfect Studio in the Heathcote Cultural Precinct, Applecross, our wheel work classes provide an intimate and focused learning environment. Small class sizes ensure personalized attention and guidance for each participant.
Bring your enthusiasm and creativity – we'll provide everything else.
What You Will Learn:
- Pottery on the wheel
- Techniques for wheel work
- How to make repeat pieces
- Creating specifications sheets and process or repeat pieces
What You Will Get:
- Clay and tools
- 3 complimentary pieces (trimmed, fired, and glazed for you)
- Additional pieces can be kept for a $20 charge per piece to cover firing and glazing (all work will be glazed in a glossy finish).
What to Bring:
- An apron or towel
What to Wear:
- Casual, comfortable clothes and short nails
- Remove all valuable jewelry

- Beginner (has had a few sessions on the wheel) - Intermediate

Terms & Conditions
Tickets & Refund
Please select carefully when choosing your workshop date and time. We DO NOT refund or reschedule workshop bookings. If you are unable to attend a workshop, you are welcome to transfer your ticket to another person.
Firing
If requested for, all pieces made will be fired and glazed and ready for pickup a minimum of 6 weeks after the workshop date.
All participants will be notified via text when items are ready for pickup.
Firing Fees
Firing fee of $20 per piece paid during your workshop covers the trimming process, glazing of your works and 2 kiln firings.
Pottery Breakage
In the unfortunate case were your pottery breaks or cracks in the kiln, Not Yet Perfect do not offer refunds, as this is the nature of the firing process- pottery is a beautiful yet delicate process.While we take the utmost care to ensure all works are delivered in the best conditions, in the case were any ceramics breaks due to mishandling, you will be contacted by one of our team and a full refund of your firing fee will be offered.
